DonaldDonald Thompson, MPS
President/Chief Executive Officer

Don has been with StayWell since 1985 and has served as the agency’s CEO since 1995. He received a Master of Professional Studies degree with a focus on Health Service Administration from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University. Don is currently a board member of Community Health Network, the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut, Brass City Charter School and E-Health CT. Born and raised in Waterbury, Don still calls the city his home. He has five children whom he enjoys traveling with and visiting with them in their various homes across the country.

Dr. Lombard came to StayWell in August 2017 as our Chief Medical Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University in Biology with minors in Psychology and Economics. During her undergrad, she was elected Alpha Epsilon Delta, the pre-medical honor society. Dr. Lombard attended medical school at New York Medical College where she was also elected to be Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport CT. Dr. Lombard went on to receive her Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of Hartford where she was also elected a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society and was the recipient of the Edith Cartin Award. Currently, she is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Association for Physician Leadership and a certified Physician Executive. She is also a Fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. 

LuleLule Tracey, MST

Lule has served as CFO at StayWell since 1999. As CFO, Lule provides leadership for all planning and control of the fiscal, financial, accounting, procurement and budgeting efforts, billing functions, and IT operations at StayWell. She holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation, with a certificate in Corporate Tax, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Lule is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Kappa Alpha Theta Society, and the Daughters of Penelope. Before coming to StayWell, Lule spent eight years in banking and two years as CFO at the Hispanic Health Council. She is currently an active member of the Greek Church in Waterbury, including philanthropic efforts such as fundraising and event planning. Lule and her husband have three children. She enjoys traveling, dancing, and gardening in her spare time.

Christine has been a part of StayWell leadership since 1995. She has had positions of increasing responsibility and in 2011 was named Chief Development Officer. Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Joseph in Connecticut. A passionate patient advocate, Christine has tirelessly worked to expand the community programs that StayWell provides. She also chairs the Bridge to Success Community Council and co-chairs the Consumer Access Subcommittee for the Connecticut Legislative Medical Assistance Program Oversight Council. Christine serves on the steering committee of the CT Mission of Mercy. Christine and her husband, Bill, have three sons. In addition to volunteer work at Blessed Sacrament Church, the Bristol Gladiators and Chase Collegiate School, she spends her free time with her family and staying active through yoga, tennis, and running

June Lewis June Lewis

June has been known by the community as synonymous with StayWell for many years. June began her work at StayWell as an outreach worker educating the community about the importance of monitoring blood pressure. Since then, June has managed various aspects of StayWell services. She currently manages the non-clinical components of the adult medicine, women’s health, and the medical records departments. She has utilized her thorough knowledge of StayWell and the Waterbury community to help reduce barriers to health care access. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters.

Dental Director

Dr. Patel joined StayWell as its first Dental Director in 2001 and has built the program into an exemplary program. Dr. Patel holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. John’s University. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Greater Waterbury Dental Society. As Dental Director, Dr. Patel oversees dental services at all sites, including the mobile dental program, Smile Builders. He and his wife have two children who keep them very busy.

BeverlyBeverly Lyons, MSW, ACSW, LCSW
Director of Behavioral Health

Beverly came to StayWell in 2006 as the Director of Behavioral Health. She holds licensures in Social Work, is certified by the National Academy of Certified Social Workers and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut in Administration and Casework. She has also completed a Post-Master’s Certification in Clinical Supervision, has had MAT and Substance Abuse Training, Trauma Training, is SIFI certified and currently serves as Clinical Director for the StayWell Oasis Suboxone Program. Beverly is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers with a specialty in Mental Health. She is a past member of the Consortium for Gerontological Education, the American Public Welfare Association, and the CT Local Association of Social Services. She previously served on the Board of Directors for New Britain Hospital, Community Mental Health Affiliates, Alliance Treatment Center, and the United Way of Plainville and West Central CT. Before coming to StayWell, Beverly worked for the Behavioral Health IOP and OPC programs at the Community Renewal Team had her own private practice and spent over 25 years as the Director of Social Services for the Town of Plainville.

John Cyr is the Director of IT / HIPPA Security Officer for Staywell Healthcare Inc.  Before being named Director of IT / HIPPA Security Officer in August 2020, John was IT Director for an aerospace manufacturing group and was responsible for all of the company’s North American operations information technology hardware infrastructure and unified ERP software applications, including end-to-end key management of services, systems and support. He also played a key role in the continued development of strategic vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility and reliability in response to an increasingly demanding customer base. Prior to joining the aerospace manufacturing group, John was the Information Technology Network Administrator / Supervisor for a non-profit healthcare facility and was responsible for procuring, managing and administrating all of the organization’s information technology infrastructure and managing key staff.  John earned a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science, minoring in Data Processing from Central Connecticut State University / BCI Division and graduated from Porter & Chester Institute in Computer Networking and Industrial Electronics. John holds certifications in CompTIA+ Network, Microsoft MCP / MCSE, Novell Administration, VSphere / VMWare (4, 5, 6) administration.

Dibattista Abby picAbby Venditto

Abby is a Certified Professional Coder who joined the StayWell team and has worked in the Billing department since 2005. Abby took on the position of Billing and Collections Manager in 2013 and oversees the Billing and Collections staff. She enjoys being a part of StayWell and working with such wonderful people who really care about the services and care we provide to our community. Outside of work Abby enjoys cooking, spending quality time with her husband and her two kids.

Janet Licese-CiarleglioJanet Licese-Ciarleglio

Janet joined StayWell in 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Nutrition from the University of Connecticut. Before coming to StayWell, Janet was a pediatric nutritionist and the Director of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program in Meriden, CT. She was also a consultant for the Department of Children and Families Family Preservation and Support Services Initiative and completed two School-Based Health Planning Initiatives, one of which was ultimately funded for StayWell. Janet is also a Eucharistic Minister at Blessed Sacrament Church in Waterbury. She has been married to her husband, Dr. Anthony Ciarleglio, since 1981, and they have two sons, Attorney Matthew Ciarleglio and Joseph Ciarleglio.

Lynn TrippLynn Tripp
Human Resource Director

Lynn has been a part of the StayWell team since 2007. She holds an Associate degree from Briarwood College and Professional in Human Resources Certification from the HR Certification Institute. As Executive Assistant, Lynn is integral to the functioning of the Executive Management team and the Board of Directors. Lynn oversees staff orientation, provider credentialing and serves as a key resource for administrative communication. Lynn initiated and leads the internal StayWell Wellness Committee, bringing her own commitment to and experiences of seeking health and wellness. Lynn is a lifelong resident of Waterbury and strongly believes in the mission of StayWell and the improvement of her community. As an active community member, Lynn has been a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and St. Peter and Paul School. Lynn and her husband enjoy spending time with and cheering on their two daughters.

Derricia picDerricia Parker
Outreach and Enrollment Manager

Since 1998, Derricia has been at StayWell working with and advocating for pregnant women and families. Beginning her work as eligibility assistance and outreach worker, Derricia now oversees eligibility and enrollment for patients in programs such as for HUSKY and Qualified Health Plans. She has been a member of the NVHDC committee and is an active cheer and dance mom. Derricia is a graduate of the Leadership Development Roundtable. Derricia is involved with Zion Baptist Church in Waterbury and has three children.
